Dr. Bita Amanda Farhoumand is a highly skilled professional dedicated to delivering exceptional periodontal and implant dentistry. With a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Distinction from the University of Virginia and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UCLA School of Dentistry, her academic journey laid the foundation for a distinguished career.

During her tenure at dental school, Dr. Bita actively participated in two groundbreaking implant studies at the Department of Periodontics and the Weintraub Center for Reconstructive Biotechnology and Department of Advanced Prosthodontics.


Membership and Certification

As a testament to her commitment to excellence, Dr. Bita is an active member of esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and the Virginia Society of Periodontists.

Advanced Training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry

In 2013, Dr. Bita completed the New York University Post-Graduate Program in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, earning a Certificate in Periodontics. Her training covered a wide range of specialties, including esthetic and functional crown lengthening, root coverage procedures, bone regeneration, pocket reduction surgery, and various aspects of dental implant therapy.

Dr. Bita's contributions to the field have been noteworthy. She presented at the Jay Siebert Tri-school Symposium in Boston, MA, and was featured as a guest expert on Top Doctors Medical Interviews, broadcasted on CNN, FOX News, Bravo, and MSNBC. Her accolades include the "Best of Vienna Award" for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry in 2012, the Patient’s Choice Award in 2015, and the Top Doctor Award for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry for 2016 and 2017.

Educational Roles and Expertise Sharing

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bita has actively contributed to education. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University, College of Dentistry, and currently holds the position of Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Francisco Marroquin School of Dentistry in Guatemala. Dr. Bita also served as an expert-witness reviewer for a dental malpractice case in 2017.
